One Day. All in.

A Wedding Photography Workshop

with Michael Briggs.

Righto. It’s happening.

My first-ever wedding photography workshop.

One full day with me, sharing everything I’ve learned over 15+ years—no secrets, no pretence, just real talk.

Good food, strong coffee, and drinks to finish.

No fluff. No styled shoots.

Just practical, honest chats about how I shoot, how I run my business, and what’s actually worked for me.

If you’re keen to level up and hang with likeminded legends—I’d bloody love to have you there.

LESS THAN FIVE TICKETS ARE REMAINING!

ONE HUGE DAY. PACKED, PRACTICAL, WORTH IT.

This isn’t just another workshop. It’s a full-on, practical download of everything I’ve learned over 15+ years of shooting weddings—and building a career around it.

We’ll move through the entire wedding journey—before, during and after the day itself—so you get a complete picture of how I work, and why it works. There’s structure, but it’s not rigid. We’ll keep it interactive, honest and conversational. Ask questions. Jump into the chat. Let’s dig into the stuff that actually makes a difference.

Nothing’s off limits.  Just practical, proven ideas to help you shoot better, book more, and create a kickass experience for your couples.

AND A STACK OF NEW CONNECTIONS.

Some of my closest mates in the world are people I met at workshops just like this. We’ve second shot for each other, covered each other when sick, and sent hundreds of referrals back and forth.

But beyond business, it’s about community. This job can be a bit isolating—we work weird hours and spend a lot of time solo. So building a crew of people who get it? Who are on the same page? That’s priceless.

15 Years Shooting Weddings

PLENTY OF LESSONS. PLENTY OF STORIES.

No secrets. No gatekeeping. No bullshit.

Just one day of honest, real talk on everything that actually works.

Let’s do this thing.

A bit about me.

I shot my first wedding back in 2010—and I’ve been hooked ever since. In 2015, I quit my day job, backed myself, and went all in on wedding photography. Haven’t felt like I’ve worked a “real” job since.

These days, I’m a familiar face in the Melbourne and Yarra Valley wedding scene—known for bringing big energy, straight talk, and zero bullshit to the table. What you see is what you get.

I’m not perfect, never claimed to be. But what I do bring is 100% mine. The way I shoot, the way I connect with couples, the way I run my business—it’s all built on being real, honest, and intentional. And that’s the whole point—we’ve all got something that sets us apart. Even if you haven’t quite figured out what yours is yet, it’s there. Cliche as fuck; but that’s your superpower.

Why this workshop?

I’ve wanted to do this for years. But I put it off. Fear, imposter syndrome, overthinking—all of it.

After 15 years in the game—and still very much in it—it feels like the right time to challenge myself and share what’s worked along the way.

I don’t have a silver bullet. No overnight success story. But I do have a proven process, an intentional workflow, and a client experience I’m bloody proud of.

And look—I work my ass off. What I’m sharing isn’t magic, and it only works if you do. But if you’re ready to roll your sleeves up, this will absolutely help you take your next step, find your groove, or get re-inspired.

That’s already a massive win.

Is this workshop right for you?

If you’ve started your photography business—or you’re just about to and want to do it right from the get-go—this is for you.

Whether you’ve shot 50 weddings, just one, or none yet but you’re keen as hell to dive in, you’ll get a heap out of the day.

It’s also a great reset if you’ve been in the game a while but things are feeling a bit slow or stale.

We won’t be covering how to use your camera—you’ve got that sorted. This is all about connection, client experience, getting enquiries through the door, and building a business that feels good to run.

Wedding videographers? You’re absolutely welcome too—there’s plenty here that’ll still hit.

The Day

It’s going to be a big one—packed with the good stuff that actually matters. I’ve broken the day into three clear sections: Before, During, and After the Wedding. We’ll cover the things I get asked about the most, the things you need to hear, and the real-world stuff that helps you shoot better, book more, and build a business that works. Some bits will be slightly deeper dives, others we’ll move through quickly—but nothing wasted.

☕ 7:30am – 8:00am – Grab a coffee & say ‘G’day’

(We officially kick off at 8am sharp)

🔹 Before the Wedding (8:00am – 10:30am)

Everything that happens before you pick up the camera: → Branding, pricing, contact forms, SEO, booking process, social media & reels.

🔹 During the Wedding (11:00am – 1:00pm)

How I shoot a wedding day from start to finish: → Timelines, style, curveballs, directing people, posing couples, gear, flash & lenses.

🔹 After the Wedding (1:45pm – 3:45pm)

All the post-wedding magic: → Workflow, software, data management, culling, editing, delivery & albums.

🍻 Q&A + Drinks (4:00pm – 5:00pm and probably later)

Afternoon snack, a celebratory drink, and an open Q&A—ask me anything. We’ll wrap up with some sponsor giveaways… and likely keep the chats rolling over another drink or two.

LESS THAN FIVE TICKETS ARE REMAINING!

NO SNAKE OIL.

There’s a lot of wank out there—workshops full of vague promises and “industry secrets” that don’t actually say much. That’s never been my vibe.

I’ve held off doing this for years because I didn’t want to be part of that noise. If you know me, you know I’m all about being real, honest, and straight-up.

What you’ll get:

🔥 A full day of actionable advice.

🔥 15+ years of experience, no filter.

🔥 Everything I’m doing right now that keeps my calendar heavily booked. (70+ weddings booked for 2025, already 50+ weddings booked for 2026)

🔥 Ways to level up your client experience and build a business that actually feels good.

😉 Maybe even a guest or two.

What you won’t get:

⚡️ No 7-figure fairytale chats.

⚡️ No silver bullet (sorry, it doesn’t exist).

⚡️ No styled shoot to boost your Insta.

I’m still in the trenches—shooting weddings every week, not teaching from the sidelines.

This is the real stuff. If that’s what you’re after, you’re in the right place.

What You Can Expect: Mentorship Testimonials From Fellow Photographers

I learned so much from Briggsy. I left my mentor session with a phone full of notes, great takeaways, and a refreshed mindset.

Briggsy has such a refreshing, no-fluff approach to wedding photography, and I can’t wait to apply everything I learned to the weddings I’m lucky enough to be shooting.

He truly is an open book and won’t hesitate to tell—and show—you exactly how he does things. He draws his knowledge from more than a decade of wedding experience, so you know what he shares has been tried, tested, and led to real success.

Super grateful for those hours filled with golden nuggets of wisdom. If you’re looking for a mentor, definitely hit him up. Worth every cent!

Aly Marie Photography

You won’t find a busier wedding photographer who is more generous with their time than Briggsy. He does this because he cares deeply about the industry and the people in it. There’s a phrase that gets bandied around a bit, “community over competition”—and while it sounds like a loved-up Instagram hashtag, it’s actually very true when it comes to Briggsy. He embodies it. He wants the industry to be better. He wants the community to be better. He wants you to be better.

He couldn’t have been more willing to help or share the full length and breadth of his knowledge.

There’s a sense amongst creatives that if they let you in on their process—let you peek behind the curtain—they’ll somehow lose their edge, as if you now know their secret recipe and might start “stealing future clients” from them. Briggsy not only lets you look behind the curtain—he’ll come back there with you, hand you a beer, put on a Jimmy Eat World album and say: “What do you want to know?”

I recently spent a few hours with Briggsy for a mentoring session and I have been completely blown away by the dude! I’ve been a fan of Briggsy’s work for years now, and I’m so glad I took the plunge and booked him in.

He was so generous with his time and knowledge of anything wedding photography and business-related. Whether it was posing & prompts, website & SEO, or even sales & pricing—nothing was off-limits. He was a total open book.

Briggsy is 110% about helping other photographers get to that next level in their career. If you’re wondering whether to book in time him—this is your sign. Do it! With just one of the many tips and tricks I learned from Briggsy, the session paid for itself three times over.

If you’re a wedding photographer and want some help to push yourself forward, do yourself a favour. You won’t regret it!
